Miss Fortune

I was going to wait until the new and improved website was up and running to post this recent shoot, but good things take time and we were fortunate enough to be featured in NY and LA- based Ladygunn Magazine!!  I really enjoy locational shoots for the fact that you are immersed in an environment which can influence or propel an idea into a story. The few times I have visited the Asian Restaurant I have envisioned a fashion shoot of sorts, a fusion of colour against the backdrop of contrasty and embellished walls, furniture and decor. Luckily the owners were as enthusiastic about the idea as we were, even turning a bit of a blind eye when it came to making use of the lazy susan. The image below we shot near the end of our time limit (the restaurant was opening up for dinner!) so you can see a few puzzled people sitting down to eat their dinner in the background. Check out the rest of the shoot here at Ladygunn.

Awesome! I agree, the Asian looks like a movie set heaps. I think Nanking Palace in South D would be pretty great too 🙂

I think a whole series on Asian restaurants could be quite the spectacle! Even the Kwang has something going for it… mmmm gold and green
