When those plastic birds came to life against a silhouetted city backdrop I was mesmerised. If Mary Poppins inspired anything in me it was an idea that little worlds could exist inside these glass spheres. I always have ideas for using this as a basis for work- video, fashion, large scale installation… In the meantime, a couple of experiments.
